I always hated the interview question

Where do you see yourself in five years? I always hated the interview question, probably because I could not clearly articulate anything past "employed" and honestly, that is not a proper response.
This was a quick read and I did get a lot out of it. It syncs nicely to the reading and work I have already done, really reaffirming things. Here are some insights
-Where do you see yourself in 5 years – that annoying interview question – can be answered well if we prepare
-We need to look at our career all the time, not only when we are pissed off overlooked, or burnt out
-Great quotes throughout the ebook
-We own our career development, not our managers or our companies
-The exercises were great, I am doing them next weekend to get a good picture (skills, knowledge, personality traits)
-The the intersection of skills, interests, and personality traits is our ideal job (this is a good time to at least identify it)
-Gap analysis exercise looks good, useful when you are considering job offers (so best to have all this ready so you don’t jump from frying pan into the fire)
-Having a Mentor is important, I hope your current company has this program
No time like the present to assess skills, interests, likes and dislikes. The next job I take will be one that I want, not the one where someone needs my skill set and I get sucked into the flames of yet another job that does not sync with my personal and professional goals.
After you complete the assessments you will be able to clearly state where you see yourself in 5 years. Get this book!
