A satisfying, slow-burning romance that left me wanting more in the best way!

I read the first novella in Sara’s #ThreeLittleLies series at the end of last year after finishing quite a few books in a row that were very heavy on the angst. Still craving warm fuzzies, but needing a breather from the drama, I crossed my fingers and started Things Liars Say. It turned out to be exactly what I needed – a funny, well-paced, feel-good romance. I followed that with a few more angsty novels and, wondering if lighting would strike twice, I picked up Things Liars Hide and found that, yes, it can. Needless to say, I was very excited for the release of Things Liars Fake, which ended up being a strong close to the series and my favorite out of the three.

So many recent releases have been all about the alpha male and while I have been known to enjoy a highly assertive gentleman, I feel like beta males are highly underrated. Some of my favorite books are ones where the heroes are on the sweeter, more sensitive side and I was thrilled to find that Dexter falls into this category. The development of his relationship with Daphne had chemistry in abundance and I loved watching their smoldering burn transform into a blazing inferno. Relationship dynamics where the guy is a bit less confident than the girl tend to have incredibly satisfying payoffs and Daphne and Dex’s romance was no exception.

Secondary characters don’t always get a chance to shine in novellas, but Dexter’s twin sisters absolutely stole the show in the scenes in which they appeared. Taking it upon themselves to play Cupid for their big brother, their antics were hysterical and they are some of the most fun I have read in a while. The epilogue had me laughing and swooning in equal measure and, although the plotline wrapped up very nicely, I found myself greedily wishing that their story would continue because I was left wanting more in the best way – more bowties, more glasses, more nerdy sex talk, maybe with a wedding and a few glasses-wearing, light saber-wielding babies thrown into the mix for good measure. #ThingsThisReaderWishesFor

I've read all three in the series and loved them all.
Think Dexter is my favorite overall but its so hard to choose.
If you are after a series low in angst and high in sweet sensitive guys with girls who know what thwy want and are adorably funny this is for you.

Strong finish

I love Sara Ney…in totally non-creepy, fan-girling way. This lady just keeps writing books that leaves me feeling light, warm and smiling. Things Liars Fake released today and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC – and this last instalment in the #ThreeLittleLies series did not let me down.

Daphne is the pretty girl who has her s*** (pardon my French) together except for when it comes to her love life…or lack there off. Although she’s pretty and cool (she would definitely have been an IT girl in high school) she is down to earth. Right off the bat she sees the potential in Dexter, who is the epitome of geek at first, second and maybe even third glance.

Glasses, suspenders and uptight clothes and let’s not forget the love of sci-fi that he shares with Daphne

Extremely honest, pragmatic and enlightening book on how to effectively understand and use cloud computing and services.

It's difficult finding truly objective, realistic advice on all things “cloud” but the author has done an excellent job of doing just that. After the first few chapters it became obvious the author had extensive experience within corporate IT and not just startups. That is a critical piece for those in corporate IT environments where advice on the cloud usually comes from pundits, vendors wanting to sell their solutions and others, far-removed from the reality of the challenges that enterprise IT shops face. There is no technology or vendor bias in the book and although the author has a lot of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) he does not try and sell it for all your solutions.

The book takes you through a roadmap and foundational concepts about how to approach your applications and their launch and implementation in the cloud; whether you are in enterprise IT or a “hip greenfield startup”. Some of the concepts are available in other places but you will be hard pressed to find a more concise and ordered guide. The author also provides lots of references to other information throughout the chapters.

There are a lot of concepts covered including API's, Cloud Types, DevOps, Security and Compliance; as well as their impacts on your organization. A great reference to have for when delving into or starting enterprise IT cloud projects. I highly recommend reading it.

Love behind all the chaos.

This is a contemporary romance novella. Book one in The Freemasons series, but could be read as a stand alone. This is for adults only due to the sexual content. This book has some great qualities, but I found myself not able to get lost in the story. I completely understood Ava's loss, I could feel her pain. Even though she disappointed me with her indecisiveness, second guessing everything. Cole was arrogant at times, but at least he tried, more than Ava on most points. On the other hand I do feel he allowed Freemasonry to dominate his life. I know somethings have to be kept secret, but I felt he went to unnecessary extremes with his own wife. Second chances, making amends, yes through it all the feelings were there. Love was hiding behind all the chaos, once settled they were right were they were meant to be.

Ava Vaughn is on a mission, after six months of NOTHING. She is done with this shame of a marriage. She is going to visit Cole and demand a divorce. Once there she struggles, Cole manipulates the situation to his favor. Once again Ava is in the marriage home questioning everything. Cole did refuse the divorce, does this mean that there is a chance for amends. Can they let go of their past mistakes and start anew? Can they both forgive? Time will only tell.

Nicole was VICTORIOUS with this new series!

Nicole did an AMAZING job introducing her fans to the world of Freemasons in the prequel to new brand new series. Ava and Cole are hurting, but they handled their issues without the help of one another, and this places doubt, misconceptions and mistrust within their already rocky marriage. All Ava wants is a clean break and a divorce, or is it? She thinks this is what is best AND what Cole wants. But Cole makes it clear, he wants his wife.

Much like that of Friends/Enemies to Lovers, this second chance romance tugs at your heart strings because of the deep history these two share. Aside from the rekindling of an obviously intense romance is the introduction to several men from the Lodge that you are eager to learn their stories.

I truly think Nicole knocked it out of the park with this series, and I am eager to dive into more!

“I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.”
A very sweet and warm heart felt love story that began with a marriage due to pregnancy and eventually the loss of a baby and depression on the way & stubbornness which in turn the marriage started to crumble. The author has successfully written the story with such clarity & many interesting events in the book that makes readers like me not to loss interest or site of the story. It has an amazing HEA which I'm glad the way it ended & looking forward to the next book under this series.

"Gamelan Scores should be particularly welcome for readers...not only for the notation provided but also for the additional analytic sections. The notation includes balungan (the melody played on most of the metallophones), vocal melody, and text, colotomic gongs, and brief information
about sequence (usually in the form of an arrow, an asterisk, or brief annotation indicating the point in a piece where one leaps to the next piece).

Analytic additions include summaries of scenes that group the pieces by dramatic unit and a list of all the musical pieces played in a given performance, sorted by musical form, which is a primary Javanese conceptual framework both for gamelan practice and accompaniment of dance and theater.

Emerson's introduction to this volume is invaluable, discussing the preparation that went into the musical aspects of these performances and including images of Purbo Asmoro's handwritten lists of repertoire. Extensive end notes are brimming with background information about each piece that is not a standard part of the Solonese wayang repertoire or is treated in a nonstandard manner."

Great writing style, great plot, great book!!

Sharon Gerlach has an amazing wit and it shows in this gripping, funny, flirtatious novel!
Follow Frannie Freeman in her quest for Sam, the man she loves; her corny, quirky office-mates and her wretched supervisor, Malaria.
I enjoyed this book so much, and didn't want it to end. I immediately picked up "The Secret Dreams of Sarah-Jane Quinn" in order to keep up with the offices of Harper and Lyttle.
I adore this book and want to see more from this series! Sharon Gerlach rocks!!

I lol'd...for real

I really enjoyed this book. It was definitely Laugh out Loud funny. I spend 40+ hours a week sitting in a cubicle enduring the office politics that seem to be the same in office environments everywhere. My cubicle mates and I enjoyed reading different parts of this book and replacing different characters with our co-workers. Perfect book to ease office boredom :)

First in the Harper & Lyttle series - this is a great book. Recommended by a friend, I was a little skeptical at firt. But I absolutely had a hard time putting it down (I had to go to work!). It kept me focused, reminded me of other offices I had worked at (especially the politics) and just kept me laughing. It was great to read a book that had no murders and was definitely not depressing! I loved it so much I got it for my uncle, Mom,and sister. It was so great I immediately bought the next one (the Sarah Jane Quinn) and am definitely looking forward to more in the series. You can't go wrong with this book!!

Rufus Butler Seder is an optical genius whose first significant invention was Lifetiles, glass-walled murals that appear to come to life when the viewer walks by. He’s installed them at the Smithsonian, SeaWorld, Union Station, and other museums, aquariums, train stations, and ocean liners around the world. Next came Scanimation, and his company EyeThink, Inc., a business that produces a line of toys and gifts using technologies he’s invented. Mr. Seder lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

Scanimation books are great, this one is okay

A bit more simple than I expected. Other scanimation books have more content and are in color, which attract the interest of my godson more than this one. We still read this to him often and he likes to watch the horse run.

Liked it, didn't love it

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the books, the historical setting and descriptive writing. The characters, on the other hand, I did not love. The women of this trilogy drove me a little crazy. All of them were terribly immature and selfish. At the end of each book there was always something of a transformation, but it was often too late for me. There were times when I really had to push myself to finish the story, simply because the heroine was being so annoying! Still, there were things I enjoyed about the books, so I give the trilogy a generous three stars.

Women pirates! Love story! Four sisters raised by seagoing father! Wars! Intrigue! Excitement! Character development of diverse characters! Something for everyone. Most fun reading that I have done in a long time.

Great trilogy

I really enjoyed these books. Honestly, the first books was my least favorite. There is something about Faith, the heroine, from the first book that I find unbelievable. However, as the book progressed I grew to like her. The other two books I have no complaints. Overall they are a great read about colonial America.
